Job Description
The Cost & Scheduling Engineer's primary role is being the project manager for all projects in the TSC, including projects designed by the TSC, by the Region, elsewhere by MDOT, and/or by Consultant. Another key function is administering Consultant contracts. The responsibility of all projects in of itself is highly complex. Some projects independently are highly complex. The Cost & Scheduling Engineering monitors the cost, scope and schedule for the multi-year set of projects assigned. This position includes extensive coordination with the Region and Statewide project development functions. This position also maintains project records and communicates relevant project information to all stake holders as appropriate.
Position Description
Required Education and Experience
Possession of a bachelor of science degree in engineering.
Four years of professional experience equivalent to a Transportation Engineer, including two years equivalent to a Transportation Engineer P11 or one year equivalent to a Transportation Engineer 12 or Transportation Engineer Licensed 12.
Additional Requirements and Information
Possession of a registered professional engineering license as required by the State of Michigan.
